Gianmario Guidarelli

Gianmario Guidarelli, architect, PhD, is adjunct professor in Architectural History at the University of Padua. He has edited three books (2005, 2009, 2013) and he has published two books, on the architecture of the Scuola Grande di San Rocco in Venice (2003) and on the cathedral of Venice (2015). He published also several articles on both the urban and architectural history of Venice and religious architecture in the Renaissance. Since 2009, he is researcher in the project Visualizing Venice (research groups: SS. Giovanni e Paolo, Civic Hospital in Venice, Ghetto), and he is the editor-in-chief of the series “Chiese di Venezia. Nuove prospettive di ricerca” (Marcianum Press, Venezia). He’s working to organize the exhibition Venice, the Jews and Europe. 1516–2016, specifically focusing synagogues of the Venice ghetto.
